1st Time Abroad

Kate Stagg , Farm lingh am Foyer (Heart Foyers )

After waiting my whole like to go on a holiday abroad, the opportunity finally came. I was going through a time of what could be said to be poverty, having enrolled late at college and my student loan took a while to come through. The holiday was my boyfriend’s idea, so he booked for us both to go to Majorca. Having never been on a plane, I was getting nervous as the holiday approached. I managed to get on the plane, but I did not like the experience of flying. But as soon as we arrived at the hotel, I knew I could relax - and I did a lot of that! The whole place was just fantastic. The beaches were lovely, with clear water, and the scenery was amazing. And then my favourite place - the shops! After a week of sun and sand, it was time to come back home. I can’t wait for next holiday now..

What a load of carp

Robin Gooda, Farm lingh am Foyer (HEART Foyers )

I spend most of my free time out of sixth form carp fishing, and my summer holidays were spent continually fishing. After 19 nights on a local lake, I decided to change lakes to go after a fish that I have always wanted to catch. After 12 nights there on this new lake, I caught ‘The Parrot’, at a low weight ofat a low weight of 28lb 8oz, which I was really chuffed with. I am hoping to continue my passion for Angling by attending Sparsholt College in Hampshire, to study Fishery Management after completing my A levels. at a low weight of 28lb 8oz, which I was really chuffed with.
