News Letter for Edmonds Court
This is a news letter for Edmonds Court residents, to tell you what is happening and when!
English and maths classes
English and maths classes are here for you to build your education so you can get a good job. The lessons are on every Monday at ten pm till three pm. (10am-3pm)
Music media
Media centre is for training young people who want training in music and film viewing to develop their creativity. This is unfortunately not going to start for a few weeks. – But please let your keyworker know if you are interested.
Fund raising
We would like to do events to raise money for the young people of Edmonds Court to take part in activities. – tell your keyworker what kind of activities you would like to take part in.
Herb patch
We have a herb patch at the back of the car park which you can help yourselves to the herbs: - they are beetroot, rosemary, sage, chives, dill and strawberry’s.
Nursery
The nursery is for residents to use if they go to college or work so you can put your children in the nursery if they are aged 0 – 5 it is open Monday to Friday 8-6 . – See Nazia.
Self esteem course
This course is aimed at female residents to help build on there self esteem, we aim to do this by doing activities, so they can feel more comfortable with themselves. It runs every Wednesday from one pm to two thirty.
There will be course for young men before long!! Look forward to seeing you there.
RESPECT AGENDA
The government have given housing associations including St Basils the power to apply for Parenting Orders.
This is an effort to reduce anti social behaviour problems.
All parents please be aware of this.
Residents meetings
Apologies to all residents who attended last months meeting it was cut short due to a serious incident.
Please all attend next meeting on Thursday the 7th June seven pm. (7pm).
We discuss any problems, complaints, suggestions and fundraising for activities.
All new residents should attend so you can get to meet others and find out what services are available to you.
